Race-Tec has been involved in several Rail projects, which were initiated through customers contacting us to resolve sealing problems where other suppliers had failed. Our design approach to evaluate the full system to understand the route cause has lead to not only a new seal being designed, but also an improvement on the design of the associated hardware.
One example was the seals on the bearing assemblies of underground sliding doors, overcoming low temperature problems preventing doors from closing correctly.
