Race-Tec High performance transmission seals use a PTFE (Teflon®) element which chemically bonded to the elastomer sealing lip. Our hybrid PL technology offers a more flexible solution to cope with high-speed shaft dynamics and shaft lobbing that can occurs during acceleration and braking.

Race-Tec Transmission seals are designed to press fit into transmission casting, however, where space is premium the seals can be bonded directly to complex housings using exotic materials to save space and weight. The lip design can be optimised using different grades of elastomer and PTFE to suit the specific requirements of the application such as shaft wear, temperature & oil viscosity.

For classes running OEM transmissions, where permitted, we can supply a higher performance alternative seal, whether it be a PTFE lined seal or an optimised elastomer lip seal. In many cases frictional and weight benefits can be achieved.

The reliability and performance of our engine seals has enabled to be in the position where our products are used in engines ranging from high performance F1, Nascar and Le Mans, through all forms of motorsport to smaller engines of Kart and Scooter racing.
